What sets Lightness by Design apart from other consultancy companies is our experience and our high level of expertise. The most important tool of our engineers are their minds eye, developed from keen interest and years of experience from simulation supported product development.

We have experience from most of the commonly  used simulation software on the market but are most fluent in ANSYS and COMSOL Multiphysics where we also carry in-house licenses. As Certified COMSOL Consultants we proudly offer our services by supporting our customers in the use of COMSOL Multiphysics.

With more than a decade of experience within the fields of stress analysis and simulation, each of our team members can offer market-leading expertise within this area. Our team has a solid base of collective knowledge on the most commonly used FEA tools on the market. Customers come from the aerospace, marine and automotive markets as well as many other industries.

Composite Materials

We know composites. Our team has worked with both applied research, and commercial projects within many branches of industry where the need for composite materials is becoming ever more prevalent. Our primary area of expertise lies in the optimization of designs using such materials - understanding how to use them effectively, and simulating them properly.

The art of making things lighter, stronger and stiffer is one of our core competencies. We have a detailed understanding of what optimization is, which can only be gained by years of experience and a fundamental understanding of the mathematical concepts it involves. We have both the knowledge and the tools for making a good product even better!
